Built during the British colonial days it is nestled amidst the mountain ranges of the Rwenzori in the west and Rift Valley Hills to the east overlooking the meandering Kazinga channel that connects Lake George and Lake Edward. Uganda was once described by Sir Winston Churchill as the “Pearl of Africa”.

Mweya Safari Lodge is located on a peninsula within the heart of the Queen Elizabeth National Park overlooking the Kazinga channel and surrounded by the magical, three spiked, otherworldly Rwenzori Mountains aptly described as the ‘mountains of the moon’.
